RaceTrac Petroleum, Inc. is seeking an Advanced Service Technician to maintain and repair RaceTrac and Raceway stores across a designated region.

The home store is Harahan, LA, with responsibilities spanning HVACR, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, foodservice equipment, and dispensing systems. The role requires 4+ years of experience, EPA Type 1 & 2 refrigerant certifications, and technical training in HVACR or electrical.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant maintenance experience.
• EPA Type 1 & Type 2 refrigerant certifications.
• Technical school training in HVACR or electrical.
• Retail maintenance experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of HVACR, electrical, plumbing or related trades.
• Familiarity with petroleum dispensing systems.

Responsibilities

• Resolves maintenance issues at RaceTrac and Raceway locations to keep stores operable 24/7.
• Maintains tools and inventory on service vehicle.
• Serves as knowledge expert across multiple trades (HVACR, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
• Supports cross-functional projects related to stores.
• Responds to ad hoc maintenance requests from store personnel.
• Keeps up-to-date with local/state facility guidelines.
• Cross-trains with other Advanced Service Technicians.

Job description

The Advanced Service Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of up to 15 RaceTrac and Raceway convenience stores in a designated region. This individual assesses, develops protocol, and resolves maintenance issues to ensure the operability of every store at all times.

The home store for this position is based at 2609 Jefferson Hwy, Harahan, LA 70121.

What You'll Do:

• Resolves maintenance and services issues at RaceTrac and Raceway convenience store locations to ensure full operability 24/7, ultimately increase the profitability of the company.
• Ensures each job is performed at a high level of skill and with optimal customer service.
• Serves as a knowledge expert in general maintenance functions including, but not limited to: HVACR, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, foodservice/beverage equipment, and petroleum dispensing systems.
• Accurately maintain tools and inventory on a service vehicle.
• Provides project support to cross-functional departments in various initiatives related to stores.
• Responds to additional ad hoc maintenance requests communicated from store personnel as needed.
• Maintains knowledge of local and state guidelines for facility services as necessary.
• Works with other AST’s to cross train in multiple trades.

What We're Looking For:

• Food and Beverage equipment repair knowledge preferred.
• Fuel dispenser and pump repair knowledge preferred.
• Technical School training in HVACR or electrical preferred.
• 4+ years work experience preferred.
• Type 1 & Type 2 EPA Certification for refrigerants.
• Experience in a retail maintenance environment a plus.
• General knowledge maintenance and repair procedures a plus.
• Maintenance or repair certifications a plus.
• Basic Microsoft office knowledge.
