MECHANICAL ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION is seeking an experienced HVAC-R Service Technician II & III to join our Service Technicians team. This full-time role focuses on commercial accounts in the DC/VA metro area, handling service, repair, and maintenance with a strong emphasis on troubleshooting complex systems.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of field experience, a DC or MD HVAC Journeyman/Master license, and completion of a relevant trade program.

Qualifications

• Trade school or apprenticeship completed in HVAC.
• Minimum five years of commercial HVAC hands-on field experience at Journeyman level.
• Active DC or Maryland HVAC Journeyman or Master license.
• CFC certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform service, repair, and maintenance on commercial HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot a wide range of equipment including VAV, chillers, heat pumps, VRF, etc.
• Serve commercial accounts in the DC/VA metro area and surrounding counties.

Mechanical Engineering and Construction Corp. (MEC2) is an established and well-respected engineering, construction, and HVAC Service firm with offices located in Maryland and Virginia. The company provides comprehensive mechanical solutions and HVAC maintenance strategies for our commercial, industrial, institutional, and government clients.

Our HVAC Service Department is currently seeking an experienced commercial HVAC service technician to handle commercial accounts predominantly in the DC / VA metropolitan area and surrounding counties. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing service, repair, and maintenance and will have a high level of proficiency in troubleshooting on a wide variety of commercial HVAC equipment and systems such as:

• Packaged HVAC units (VAV and constant volume, capacities up to 100 tons)
• Split systems
• Heat pumps
• Datacenter Cooling Units (Liebert, Stulz, etc.)
• Natatorium dehumidification units (PoolPak, Dektron, etc.)
• VAV / VVT systems
• VRF systems (Daikin, Mitsubishi, etc.)
• Central Plant Equipment (Boilers, Chillers, Cooling Towers, etc.)

• Attended a trade school or an apprenticeship program
• A minimum of five (5) years of commercial “Hands-On” field experience at the Journeyman level servicing commercial and industrial HVAC equipment and systems, CFC certification
• An activeDC or Maryland HVAC Journeyman / Masters license
