Job summary

Hussmann is seeking a skilled HVAC/R Technician to maintain, diagnose, and repair refrigeration systems in supermarkets and cold storage facilities. You will operate independently, develop first-line customer relationships, and identify potential sales opportunities during service calls.

The role involves managing truck inventory, completing detailed paperwork, and mentoring fellow technicians while supporting PM programs. On-the-job training and advancement opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification required or in process.
• HVAC/R field experience preferred (7 years external, 3 years internal with OJT).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read schematics.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, diagnoses and repairs refrigeration, heating, and air-conditioning systems.
• Operates independently with minimal supervision and builds customer relations.
• Identifies potential sales opportunities during service calls.
• Manages truck inventory and documents parts with care and accuracy.
• Completes paperwork and invoicing using hand-held device.
• Provides mentoring to other technicians and supports PM programs.
