Job summary

Mechanical Systems & Service MSS is seeking an experienced HVAC/R Technician to service our Mississippi territory. This role will be dispatched from home and home nightly, covering from Greenville to Tuscaloosa while maintaining and servicing commercial accounts such as Dollar General, Family Dollar, and CVS locations.

You will work independently with an established client base, performing routine repairs, system inspections, and maintenance to ensure reliable HVAC operation across the region.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC maintenance experience.
• Universally EPA Certified.
• Ability to troubleshoot HVAC components with built up systems and package units.
• Ability to read electronic schematics.
• High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine repairs to pump seals, bearing, etc.
• Inspect and test systems to verify compliance with plans and specs or to detect malfunctions.
• Determine customer concerns with HVAC and boiler systems.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Record and report faults, deficiencies, and time/materials on work orders.
• Adjust system controls to manufacturer settings to balance system.
• Perform maintenance procedures such as cleaning, lubrication, or filter changes.
• Install auxiliary components to heating-cooling equipment per blueprints.
• Study blueprints and specs to ensure proper installation.
• Fabricate or install duct work or chassis parts.
• Other duties as assigned.

Mechanical Systems & Service MSS, based in West Monroe, LA, is expanding and seeking an experienced HVAC/R Technician to join our growing team. The right candidate will be dispatched from their residence and be home nightly!This role will service our Mississippi territory, covering areas from Greenville to Tuscaloosa. Technicians will be responsible for maintaining and servicing commercial accounts, including Dollar General, Family Dollar, and CVS locations throughout the region. What You'll Do:

• Perform routine repairs to pump seals, bearing, etc.
• Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions.
• Determine customer concerns with HVAC and boiler systems.
• Follow standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.
• Record and report faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials expended on work orders.
• Adjust system controls to setting recommended by manufacturer to balance system.
• Recommend, develop, or perform maintenance procedures such as cleaning, power-washing, or vacuuming equipment, lubricate parts, or changing filters.
• Install auxiliary components to heating-cooling equipment, such as expansion and discharge valves, air ducts, pipes, blowers, dampers, flues, and stokers, following blueprints
• Study blueprints, design specifications, and manufacturers' recommendations to ascertain the configuration of heating or cooling equipment components and to ensure the proper installation of components
• Fabricate, assemble, or install duct work or chassis parts, using portable metal-working tools or welding equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC maintenance experience
• Universally EPA Certified
• Ability to troubleshoot HVAC components with built up systems and package units, which may include chiller air handler pump towers, cooling towers, control systems, boilers and air handling systems
• Ability to learn commercial expertise in boilers, chillers, pneumatic controls, digital controls and packaged HVAC equipment
• Ability to read electronic schematics
• High School diploma/GED required + equivalent work experience
