Job summary

Crete United is seeking an experienced HVAC technician to support the Jackson, MS region and surrounding areas in LA and AL. The role involves routine maintenance, repairs, and installation tasks across commercial HVAC systems.

Travel flexibility is required to cover multiple locations. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of commercial HVAC maintenance experience, EPA certification, and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems, read schematics, and work with boilers, chillers, and controls.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC maintenance experience.
• Universally EPA Certified.
• Ability to troubleshoot HVAC components with built-up systems and packaged units.
• Ability to learn commercial expertise in boilers, chillers, pneumatic controls, digital controls and packaged HVAC equipment.
• Ability to read electronic schematics.
• High School diploma/GED required + equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine repairs to pump seals, bearing, etc.
• Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions.
• Determine customer concerns with HVAC and boiler systems.
• Follow standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.
• Record and report faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials expended on work orders.
• Adjust system controls to setting recommended by manufacturer to balance system.
• Recommend, develop, or perform maintenance procedures such as cleaning, power-washing, or vacuuming equipment, lubricate parts, or changing filters.
• Install auxiliary components to heating-cooling equipment, such as expansion and discharge valves, air ducts, pipes, blowers, dampers, flues, and stokers, following blueprints
• Study blueprints, design specifications, and manufacturers' recommendations to ascertain the configuration of heating or cooling equipment components and to ensure the proper installation of components
• Fabricate, assemble, or install duct work or chassis parts, using portable metal-working tools or welding equipment
• Other duties as assigned

MSS Located in West Monroe, LA is expanding our operations, and we are looking for an experienced HVAC / R technician to join our team! This position will cover Jackson MS area along with parts of AL and LA. We are looking for a technician who is open to traveling to these locations.

• Ability to learn commercial expertise in boilers, chillers, pneumatic controls, digital controls and packaged HVAC equipment

• High School diploma/GED required + equivalent work experience
