Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking an HVAC/R Technician - Apprentice to learn and perform preventive maintenance and repairs on store HVAC systems, ice machines, and refrigeration equipment. You will work under the guidance of an experienced technician and maintain service records in Service Channel.

The role requires good customer service, the ability to travel daily within the assigned region, and readiness to participate in after-hours calls and on-call rotations with a mentor.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of refrigeration, heating, air conditioning, electrical systems, and plumbing.
• EPA certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist an experienced technician or supervisor in completing assigned work orders and repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC/R and related equipment.
• Maintain preventive maintenance checklists and documentation.
• Provide timely work status updates to maintenance leadership and customers.
• Conduct general maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC-related components.
• Update control set points for refrigeration systems as directed.
• Respond to service requests and participate in after-hours calls.
