Eastern New Mexico University – Roswell campus seeks an Assistant Professor of HVAC-R Technology to deliver high-quality instruction in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration, aligned with industry standards and EPA rules.

The role includes curriculum development, student advising, and engagement in recruitment and outreach to strengthen student pathways and partnerships with local industry.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with 3+ years full-time HVAC-R experience, or 5+ years HVAC-R experience.
• Associate’s degree plus HVAC certifications (EPA 608 or equivalent) qualifies.
• Preferred: related degree (HVAC-R Tech, Mechanical Systems, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Tech).

Responsabilités

• Teach HVAC-R courses covering heating, air conditioning, electrical fundamentals, and diagnostics.
• Develop course materials and Canvas-based online components.
• Advise students on certificates and degree progress.
• Monitor attendance and learning outcomes.
• Maintain lab equipment and ensure safety compliance.
• Participate in curriculum planning and department activities.
