Job summary

BayCare is seeking an HVAC Mechanic II to perform preventive maintenance and repair on HVAC systems at South Florida Baptist Hospital in Plant City, FL. The role requires strong technical skills and experience in hospital facilities management.

Duties include maintaining and troubleshooting HVAC equipment within a hospital setting, complying with safety standards, and possibly working varied shifts or travel to other BCHS facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Technical training preferred.
• 5 years HVAC/R service experience.
• 2 years Building Automation System experience.
• Preferred hospital maintenance experience.
• 1 year high rise experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC and related systems following codes and hospital standards.
• Maintain facilities and equipment in hospital/clinical environments.
• Work various shifts and weekends to meet hospital needs.
• May travel to other BCHS facilities for maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

HVAC Mechanic II

Status:Full Time | Time : 2:30pm-11:00pm | Days:Tuesday-Saturday
Location: South Florida Baptist Hospital, [Plant City, FL]

Responsibilities

• Perform demand and scheduled preventive maintenance of the facility equipment to primarily include Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and
• associated systems in accordance with departmental, hospital and regulatory agency codes.
• Specific duties include maintaining facilities and equipment in
• hospital or clinic environment.
• May be scheduled to work various work shifts and weekends to meet the needs of the hospital not necessarily within the craft
• lines.
• May require travel to perform necessary maintenance work at other BCHS facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

• Required:High School or Equivalent
• Preferred: Technical

Licenses

• Required:- FL Driver's License
• Required: EPA Certification
• Preferred: Refrigeration Certification

Experience

• Required:5years as HVAC/R Service Related Technician
• Required:2 years Building Automaton System
• Preferred:3 years maintenance in hospital-related field
• Preferred:1 year high rise
