Job summary

Fields & Fowler is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. You will ensure systems operate safely and efficiently, often handling electrical components and refrigerants.

The role requires reading technical diagrams, performing routine maintenance, and communicating with clients about system performance and needs. EPA 608 certification and a valid H.S.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical training or HVAC certification preferred.
• EPA Section 608 Certification (for handling refrigerants).
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read technical diagrams and manuals.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in various environments (indoors, outdoors, confined spaces).

Responsibilities

• Install HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation units.
• Inspect and troubleshoot HVAC systems to identify issues.
• Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning coils, changing filters, and checking refrigerant levels.
• Repair or replace defective components (e.g., motors, compressors, thermostats).
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Ensure compliance with local HVAC codes and safety regulations.
• Communicate with clients about system performance and maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
