Job summary

Walmart in Thibodaux, LA, is seeking a Developmental Technician for Facility Services HVAC/R to support maintenance across multiple facilities. You will complete required documentation, help with scopes of work, and perform preventive maintenance under supervision.

You will collaborate with management and partners to prioritize work, ensure safety and environmental compliance, and contribute to cost control through effective problem solving and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• EPA certification for refrigerant handling is required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle report.
• 1–2 years in related HVAC/R work, or Walmart store experience.
• EPA 608 certification within 90 days of hire; safe driving record with minimal violations.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit documentation like vouchers and work orders.
• Develop scopes of work for HVAC/R and energy updates.
• Perform preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and troubleshooting under supervision.
• Coordinate with management and partners to set priorities and communicate progress.
• Ensure OSHA and EPA compliance by following safety policies.
• Submit warranty claims and conduct price comparisons to aid cost control.
• Operate and maintain company vehicles per policy.
