Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Developmental Technician specializing in Refrigeration and HVAC Maintenance in the Owensville, MO area. The role focuses on maintaining facilities, equipment, and assets across Walmart stores, following schedules, and performing inspections, cleaning, and repairs to ensure smooth operations.

The position requires EPA certifications, a valid driver’s license, and experience in plumbing/electrical or Walmart store operations.

Qualifications

• Hold and maintain Universal or Type I and Type II Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Option 1: 1 year’s experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Option 2: 2 years’ Walmart store experience.
• EPA 608 Certification within 90 days of hire.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets by utilizing multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment) and using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders to support Stores and Store associates and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspecting, operating, or testing facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely.
