Job summary

Thayer, LLC in Auburn, ME is seeking mechanically skilled Project Sales Representatives to support our commercial HVAC/R and building services projects across New England. This role combines sales, project management, customer service, and technical problem-solving.

The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in construction or engineering, 5+ years of relevant trade experience, HVAC license or mechanical design experience, and 5 years of construction project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction or engineering preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant trade experience.
• Licensed HVAC technician or mechanical design experience.
• 5 years of hands-on construction project management.
• Experience qualifying prospects and conducting sales presentations.
• Must report to office in Auburn, ME daily.

Responsibilities

• Build customer relationships across multiple markets and conduct site visits to evaluate needs.
• Develop scopes of work, estimates, and proposals and present solutions to customers.
• Manage projects from start to finish, including scheduling, budgeting, materials, vendors, subcontractors, and job site oversight.
• Survey mechanical systems, identify problems and propose solutions in a timely manner.
• Identify prospects in assigned market. Promptly follow up on leads and referrals.
• Maintain an active backlog of quotes to ensure booking goal is consistently met.
