Job summary

Hooper Corporation, an established electric power and mechanical contractor headquartered in Wisconsin, seeks a proactive professional to drive new business opportunities, plan and coordinate projects, and ensure cost, quality, equipment utilization and safety objectives are met.

You will work with architects and engineers, prepare estimates and budgets, manage subcontractor and field crew interactions, and maintain strong client relationships while upholding the company’s safety and integrity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management or completion of an apprenticeship.
• 3–5 years of prior experience with related construction industry projects.
• Analytical and problem solving, strong interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Pursues and acquires new business through developing and maintaining strong client relationships and understanding project plans and documents.
• Prepares estimates, budgets, schedules, and assists in contract negotiations; monitors progress through meetings and reports.
• Works with architects and engineers to resolve design and construction issues and approves shop drawings.
• Keeps customers informed of progress and negotiates fee changes; ensures project delivery satisfies customer.
• Plans, directs, and coordinates manpower, equipment, tools, and supply needs within the department to meet objectives.
• Purchases equipment and monitors maintenance of tools and supplies; ensures proper repair after job completion.
• Manages contract administration including change orders, billing, and expenses; communicates financial details to stakeholders.
• Maintains union relationships and participates in labor committees and apprenticeship subcommittees.
• Completes job closeout with punch list resolution and distribution of manuals.
• Strengthens customer relationships through company events and community engagement.
