Job summary

Hooper-Corporation in Wisconsin is seeking a project-driven professional responsible for acquiring new business opportunities and overseeing preparations and executions of projects to meet cost, quality, equipment utilization, and safety objectives.

You will work closely with clients, architects, and engineers, manage contracts and budgets, and lead field teams to deliver on-time, on-budget results while maintaining Hooper's culture of collaboration and integrity.

Qualifications

• 4-year BS degree in engineering field, construction management, or completion of apprenticeship in a respective discipline preferred.
• 3 - 5 years of prior experience with related construction industry projects.
• Analytical and problem solving, strong interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable leading and guiding teams involved with company projects, or supervising field crews through foreman.

Responsibilities

• Pursues and acquires new business through client relationships and proposals.
• Prepares estimates, budgets, schedules, and assists in project contract negotiations.
• Monitors adherence to all above through attendance at job site meetings and progress reports.
• Works with architects/engineers to resolve design-related construction issues and approvals of shop drawings.
• Keeps customer fully informed of project progress and negotiates fee changes.
• Plans, directs, and coordinates manpower, equipment, tools, and supplies to achieve project objectives.
• Purchases equipment and materials; monitors maintenance and safeguarding of equipment.
• Manages administrative aspects of contracts (change orders, rental equipment, billing, etc.).
• Maintains sound union relationships and understands labor agreements.
• Completes job closeout, punch list resolution, and as-built drawings distribution.
• Strengthens customer relationships through events and community activities.
• Attends divisional meetings and company functions.
• Performs other duties/special projects as assigned.
