Job summary

Synairgy Mechanical in Wailuku, HI is seeking an HVAC Project Manager to lead light commercial and residential projects from turnover to closeout. You will own scheduling, coordination, customer communication, job cost control, and quality to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to spec.

This position offers a base salary of $70,000 to $90,000 (DOE), plus performance pay, 11 paid holidays, PTO, 401(k) with company matching, and a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in HVAC project management or related operations.
• Strong understanding of HVAC installation workflows and field execution.
• Proven ability to manage multiple active jobs and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects end-to-end: kickoff, planning, scheduling, execution, and closeout.
• Coordinate install crews, service support, vendors, and subcontractors as needed.
• Confirm equipment and materials are ordered, delivered, and staged before start dates.
• Be the main customer contact: set expectations, provide updates, and resolve issues fast.
• Track labor hours, materials, and job costs to protect gross margin.
• Manage permits, inspections, and documentation (photos, field notes, customer approvals).
• Conduct jobsite check-ins and quality control to reduce rework and callbacks.
• Drive punch lists, customer sign-off, and closeout package completion.
