Job summary

AM Mechanical is seeking a Project Manager in Downers Grove, IL with 3–5 years in HVAC project management or estimating, focusing on design/build approaches. You will lead client engagements, prepare proposals, and guide projects from inception to close-out while coordinating field teams.

The role offers a path for growth in a dynamic, collaborative environment with strong emphasis on client satisfaction and successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• HVAC project management experience required or strong focus in HVAC.
• Proven negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel nationwide to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee turnkey mechanical/projects: estimating, scheduling, QA, progress reporting, progress billing, design review and coordination.
• Gather project requirements from clients and facilitate working drawings.
• Prepare and submit project proposals with management.
• Attend client meetings to present proposals and discuss cost, design, and scope.
• Ensure accurate project estimates aligned with contracted work.
• Manage RFIs, change-orders, and submittals through project lifecycle.
• Manage internal project accounting and track cost status.
• Coordinate field operations and teams.
• Handle project close-out and warranty issues.
