Job summary

Bell & Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced HVAC Project Manager for local Tampa Bay projects, handling commercial HVAC construction from kickoff to closeout.

This full-time hybrid role requires managing $50K–$5M projects, coordinating with owners, GCs, engineers, and field teams, and ensuring safety, quality, and budget delivery; strong emphasis on cost control and timely completion.

Compensation: $80,000–$120,000 base + bonus

Schedule: Monday–Friday | Approximately 7:30 AM–4:30 PM / 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Travel: Approximately 95% local to the Tampa Bay area.

We are partnering with a well-established commercial HVAC contractor that has been serving the Tampa Bay market for more than 30 years. Due to an upcoming retirement, they are looking for an experienced HVAC Project Manager to join the team.

This is a full-cycle project management position for someone who understands commercial HVAC construction from project kickoff through closeout and is comfortable splitting time between the office and active job sites.

What You'll Be Managing

• Manage commercial HVAC projects ranging from approximately $50K to $5M.
• Oversee projects from kickoff through procurement, installation, commissioning, punch list, and final closeout.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, manpower needs, subcontractors, vendors, equipment, and material procurement.
• Review plans, specifications, contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with owners, general contractors, engineers, field leadership, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Track job costing, WIP, cost-to-complete, committed costs, change orders, and overall project profitability.
• Monitor project progress against budget and schedule and proactively address cost or scheduling issues.
• Coordinate commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftop systems and related mechanical equipment.
• Conduct jobsite visits and maintain communication between field and office teams.
• Support project billing, forecasting, documentation, and closeout requirements.
• Maintain safety and quality expectations throughout each project.

What We're Looking For

• Commercial HVAC experience is required.
• Previous HVAC Project Manager or mechanical construction project management experience.
• Strong understanding of the complete HVAC construction/project lifecycle.
• Experience managing project budgets and understanding job costing, WIP, forecasting, and cost-to-complete.
• Comfortable managing multiple projects of varying sizes.
• Healthcare, hospital, VA, government, or similar commercial project experience is a plus.
• Experience with Procore, CX Alloy, and/or Textura is preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification is a plus but not required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a strong plus but not required.
• Comfortable working approximately 50% in the office / 50% in the field, depending on project needs.
• $80,000–$120,000 base salary, depending on experience.
