Job summary

Ascension Property Services (APS) is seeking an HVAC Construction Project Manager in Miami to plan, coordinate, and oversee commercial HVAC projects from award through completion. You will lead safety, schedules, budgets, and contractor coordination while maintaining client relations.

The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and strong knowledge of HVAC systems and construction methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing commercial HVAC construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, construction methods, and codes.
• Experience reading blueprints and construction drawings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• OSHA 30 certification is a plus.

Job description

The HVAC Construction Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing commercial HVAC construction projects from award through completion. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage multiple HVAC construction projects simultaneously.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
• Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Coordinate with field supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers.
• Monitor project progress and resolve issues that may impact cost or schedule.
• Manage project procurement, equipment deliveries, and material tracking.
• Review and approve subcontractor and vendor invoices.
• Prepare and process change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
• Conduct project meetings with customers and internal teams.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Track project costs and profitability.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
• Support successful project closeout, including punch lists, warranties, and final documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing commercial HVAC construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, construction methods, and mechanical codes.
• Experience reading blueprints and construction drawings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with design-build and negotiated projects.
• Knowledge of Procore, Viewpoint, Bluebeam, or similar construction software.
• OSHA 30 certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to visit active construction sites.
• Ability to walk, climb stairs and ladders, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions while visiting job sites.

Base Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year depending on experience
