Job Description

Sears Home Improvement Products, a national leader in vinyl siding, custom windows, entry & garage doors, kitchen remodeling, cabinet refacing, and heating & cooling products, is looking for a Project Coordinator. This position manages the installation process for specific products within the district, including scheduling, quality assurance, customer service, materials management, and overseeing the independent contractor workforce. The Project Coordinator has the authority to recruit, select, and contract independent contractors, ensuring their work meets Sears’ standards. They serve as the primary liaison between customers and the company regarding installation, contracts, and service issues, with the discretion to resolve customer concerns.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise all ongoing jobs from start to finish.
• Recruit and train sub-contractors.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding job and service issues.
• Manage customer service issues and expenses across assigned product lines.
• Supervise warehouse staff and installation assistants.
• Identify, communicate, and resolve contract issues with sales staff.
• Ensure all jobs have proper permits and licenses, maintaining compliance.
• Verify that all subcontractors carry current insurance coverage.

Qualifications

Education/Training

• Strong operational experience in HVAC.
• 2 to 5 years of on-the-job construction management experience preferred.
• Possession of required state contractor licenses may be necessary.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance are required.

Experience

• Experience managing subcontractors or subcontractor-based businesses is preferred.
• Ability to travel 8-10 site inspections per month, including same-day inspections.
