Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation, a global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions, is seeking an HVAC Project Estimator to develop accurate cost estimates for HVAC projects. The role requires interpreting drawings and specifications and partnering with account managers, project managers, engineers, and vendors.

The position emphasizes reliability, strong analytical skills, and knowledge of HVAC pricing and industry standards, with opportunities to contribute to bid strategy and project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management.
• 2+ years of HVAC estimating experience.
• 2+ years of experience with commercial and industrial HVAC projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for HVAC replacement projects, including equipment, ductwork, piping, controls, electrical, insulation, and installation labor.
• Evaluate system designs to determine feasibility, constructability, and cost impacts.
• Develop budgets for design-build, plan-and-spec, retrofit, and service projects.
• Compile complete bid packages and review subcontractor/supplier quotes.
• Coordinate with project managers to validate labor assumptions and installation methods.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site walks, and client discussions.
• Maintain current knowledge of HVAC pricing, labor rates, and market conditions.
