Job summary

GLC Business Services in Buffalo, NY, is seeking an HVAC Project Engineer to provide technical and administrative support for mechanical construction projects. You will assist with documentation, RFIs, scheduling, procurement, and cost tracking, coordinating with field teams, vendors, and clients to ensure smooth execution.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, familiarity with construction documents, and proficiency with MS Office and project software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• Prior experience in mechanical construction, HVAC, or piping projects preferred.
• Internship or entry-level construction experience is beneficial.
• Familiarity with construction documentation and project processes is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers with the administration and execution of mechanical construction projects.
• Prepare, track, and maintain project documentation, including contracts, drawings, and specifications.
• Process RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project correspondence.
• Maintain accurate project files and records throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support project closeout activities, including punch lists and turnover documentation.
• Coordinate with field personnel, vendors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure timely project execution.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and look-ahead plans.
• Monitor project progress and communicate updates to project teams.
