Job summary

Building Automation Products, Inc (BAPI) is seeking a Technical Documentation Specialist to support Engineering, Marketing and Sales by developing and maintaining technical manuals, datasheets, troubleshooting guides and training materials for HVAC sensor products.

This role translates complex technical information into clear, accurate resources such as installation manuals, product datasheets, troubleshooting guides, and internal knowledge materials.

Qualifications

• Strong written and oral communications skills.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Document Control, Version Control Systems.
• PLM-like tools.
• Understanding of Engineering Change Processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word).
• Experience in HVAC & Electronics.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and maintain technical documentation for HVAC sensor products, including installation manuals, product datasheets, troubleshooting guides, and internal knowledge resources.
• Translate complex technical information into clear, user-friendly documentation for customers, technicians, and internal teams.
• Ensure documentation is accurate, consistent, and aligned with product specifications and company standards.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, and Sales teams to collect accurate technical information.
• Verify technical content for accuracy and completeness before publication.
• Ensure all documentation reflects current product specifications, engineering changes (ENF/ECN), and industry standards.
• Maintain organized documentation systems and repositories to ensure the most current versions are accessible to internal teams and customers.
• Establish and manage internal knowledge resources to support training, product understanding, and customer support.
• Ensure documentation is easy to search, navigate, and maintain for long-term use.
• Assist Marketing and Product Management with creating training materials, presentations, and internal knowledge-based articles.
• Help organize and maintain documentation repositories for easy access and version tracking.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to understand documentation needs across teams.
• Ensure deliverables support product releases, engineering updates, and team workflows.
