Job summary

Greenheck Group is seeking a Designer II/III to join our team in Schofield, WI, performing mid-level design work for products, machinery, or tooling. You will manage projects, including scheduling and reporting, while maintaining CAD drawings and BOMs under the design team's guidance.

As a Designer II/III, you will contribute to sheet metal designs, provide technical support to sales and marketing, and help drive cost-efficient design changes.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of relevant work experience.
• 2 Year / Associate Degree or equivalent years of job experience required.
• Knowledge of CAD systems (AutoCAD and Inventor Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Create moderate complexity drawings for new products, changes, and design requests under supervision.
• Prepare BOMs for new and changed designs under direction of design team.
• Maintain drawing files (CAD, PDF, and other documentation).
• Assist with prototyping of sheet metal designs as needed.
• Provide technical support to sales/marketing with submittal drawings or inquiries.
• Provide technical direction to shop floor to resolve design issues.
• Communicate design problems to engineering for corrective action.
• Participate in value engineering and BOM work to improve cost efficiency.
• Support release of designs into production, including testing and training.
