Job summary

Colorado Mesa University seeks a Preventive Maintenance Technician (HVAC) to diagnose, repair, and maintain campus heating, cooling, and related systems. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, responding to service requests, and assisting with installations during minor remodels.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, CO driver’s license, EPA 608 certification, and HVAC experience. NATE-ready status is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• NATE Ready-to-Work certificate acceptable to demonstrate baseline HVAC knowledge and skills.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license.
• Must possess Universal EPA (Freon Handler) certification under EPA 608.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain HVAC systems and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on heating, cooling, and related components.
• Respond to work orders and replace failing HVAC components as needed.
• Install or replace standard HVAC equipment for minor remodels and projects.
