Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY is seeking a Regular Full-Time HVAC Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on campus heating, ventilation, and cooling systems. The role requires strong multitasking, reliability, and the ability to work from field service to campus facilities projects.

The position involves visiting mechanical rooms and rooftops, interpreting schematics, and coordinating with the Facilities team.

Qualifications

• Trade or vocational school graduate, or apprenticeship completed.
• Minimum of two years’ HVAC experience.
• Ability to work indoors in cramped spaces and outdoors in all weather.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing and installation of HVAC components and systems, including compressors, coils, heat pumps, motors, belts, and controls.
• Respond to daily work orders and perform repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems and interpret drawings and manuals.
• Replace minor parts and maintain operating schedules for equipment.
• Provide recommendations for maintenance and repairs and ensure timeliness of work.
• Respond to emergencies and assist with snow events as needed.
