Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Building System Surveyor to support HVAC pre-sales efforts by performing on-site surveys and delivering design deliverables. The role requires strong HVAC field experience, CAD familiarity, and coordination with subcontractors to secure bids and proposals.

You will work with COE engineers, maintain local compliance, and ensure accurate documentation and handoffs to installation teams. Travel to branches is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of field HVAC operations/installation/service or 8+ years HVAC sales experience.
• HVAC knowledge including controls, mechanical, equipment maintenance.
• Experience with IP networking concepts.
• Experience with CAD软件 (CAD tools) or CAD software.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; proficient in MS Office/SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Conduct timely and accurate site surveys and pre-sale assessments.
• Coordinate with subcontractors for bid quotes and pricing proposals.
• Prepare COE survey documentation and deliverables using Salesforce, SharePoint, and Office 365.
• Review project costing estimates with installation/operations management before submission.
• Maintain standardized survey documentation and device placement drawings.
• Stay aware of local AHJ expectations, regulations, and permits.
• Support sales with pre-installation scope of work handoffs to installation teams.
• Maintain knowledge of JCI core product and service offerings.
