The role involves designing systems, performing calculations, coordinating with disciplines, and supporting client meetings. Requires 5+ years in buildings design; PE license or LEED credentials are a plus. Travel may be domestic and international.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in buildings design industry.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
• LEED Green Associate or LEED AP preferred.
• Familiarity with HVAC and plumbing codes and energy codes.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee mechanical systems for building projects.
• Develop design documentation, drawings, and calculations.
• Coordinate with architects, civil, electrical, and structural teams.
• Prepare schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
• Perform water, waste, gas calculations and equipment specifications.
• Support client presentations and meetings.
• Stay current with codes, standards, and sustainable design practices.
• Assist in project management and meeting schedules/budgets.
