Job summary

STV is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Specialist to support HVAC design and coordination for diverse building projects. The role works under senior engineers to advance design, coordination, and project delivery.

Responsibilities include assisting in HVAC/mechanical designs, performing calculations, preparing drawings in Revit/AutoCAD, and coordinating with architects and other engineers. The candidate should bring 2–5 years of HVAC design experience and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 2–5 years of HVAC design experience for buildings.
• EIT certification preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, and HVAC load calculation software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of HVAC and mechanical systems for building projects.
• Perform engineering calculations, equipment selection, and system layouts.
• Prepare construction drawings and coordinate designs using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Coordinate with architectural and other engineering disciplines.
• Participate in site visits and field verification of existing conditions.
• Support construction administration by reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and assisting with field questions.
• Attend project meetings and communicate effectively with project team members and clients.
• Help prepare technical reports, Basis of Design narratives, and project documentation.
