HVAC/Plumber

Cross Keys Village - The Brethren Home Community (CKV) is currently seeking an experienced professional who specializes in HVAC and Plumbing duties to become part of our maintenance team. This mid-level position will perform a variety of skilled maintenance and repair tasks on piping, water delivery, water type fire suppression, water treatment, sewage, and hot water heating systems. As an HVAC/Plumber working at CKV, we will provide opportunities to enjoy a friendly work environment guided by Christian values.

This opening is for a full-time position working 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Weekends may be assigned. On-call rotation is required.

Job Description

As an HVAC/Plumber, your scope of responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Performing preventive maintenance tasks involving boilers, pumps, fans, heat exchangers, steam traps, valves and other HVAC equipment.
• Performing major corrective maintenance on hot water heating systems, associated controls and controlling valves, domestic hot and cold-water supply systems and plumbing fixtures, fabricates and installs copper, steel or plastic pipe and tubing up to conversion systems and water type fire suppression systems.
• Monitoring domestic hot water temperatures on a regular basis.
• Performing repairs, installation and adjustments for all heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems with good safety and housekeeping habits.
• Performing plumbing, electrical and mechanical functions related to HVAC and related components.
• Performing preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment as assigned.
• Performing preventive maintenance and repairs to Wellness Pool.
• Maintaining mechanical rooms and work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
• Maintaining assigned mechanical rooms and work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
• Advising and training team members in and outside of the department.
• Having a complete understanding and working knowledge of the Worxhub System and the Trane and Johnson Controls Computer Systems.
• Responding for snow removal per CKV's Snow Removal policy.
• May carry a cell phone as needed receiving emails, alarms, and text alerts for critical components on the building automation system.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade or technical school certification is strongly preferred.
• At least 3 to 5 years of applicable experience in a maintenance trade is required.
• Journeymen’s HVAC and plumbing license preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
