This role diagnoses, repairs, and maintains residential HVAC systems and supports teammates with technical questions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; tech school in HVAC preferred; college degree a plus.
• EPA 608 (Type II) certification.
• Minimum 3 years in residential HVAC repair and installation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Residential Operations Manager with daily operations and administration tasks.
• Develop and implement training for technicians to build confidence in the field.
• Coach and train team on HVAC basics and common field issues.
• Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems per specs.
• Perform routine maintenance to improve reliability and safety.
• Use testing equipment to verify proper system operation after work.
• Document service findings and parts used in service software.
• Explain issues and options clearly to customers in a professional manner.
• Educate customers on proper operation and potential improvements.
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and stocked service vehicles.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours service requests.
• Follow safety procedures and applicable codes; comply with OSHA requirements.
• Engage in ongoing training to stay current with technology and company processes.
