Job summary

Encon Heating & AC is seeking a full-time sales hunter to build a strong B2B sales career with significant upside. No HVAC experience required; you’ll learn the technical side while developing relationships with business owners and senior decision-makers across Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Rockland, Orange counties and nearby northern New Jersey.

Own your territory: prospect, develop proposals, close customized HVAC maintenance programs, and grow a book of 500–800 qualified properties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Energetic hunter who creates new opportunities, not just maintains accounts.
• Recent graduate or seasoned sales professional with demonstrated ability.
• Confident and persuasive in person and on the phone.
• Comfortable approaching senior decision-makers.
• High emotional intelligence; reads people well and builds trust.
• Resilient, self-starting, competitive and goal-driven.
• Willing to learn commercial HVAC; no prior HVAC experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and meet with business owners and senior decision-makers to develop HVAC maintenance programs.
• Survey commercial facilities, develop proposals, and close deals.
• Develop a target list of 500–800 qualified properties and own the market.
• Organize your territory, build relationships, and grow your book of business.
• After closing, let the operations team take over; your role is to hunt and win new business.
