Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. seeks an early‑career Mechanical Designer to support commercial HVAC and MEP building design projects. You will contribute to HVAC layouts, equipment coordination, BIM modeling, and construction-document development.

Candidates with internship or co‑op experience in HVAC design or building systems are encouraged to apply. U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1–4 years of HVAC design, mechanical design, or MEP building design experience.
• Working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with commercial HVAC systems and MEP design.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings and coordinate multidisciplinary design.
• Attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update HVAC plans, duct layouts, and equipment layouts using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Prepare and revise construction documents, drawings, and details.
• Assist with duct routing, equipment placement, and coordination with other building systems.
• Coordinate HVAC layouts with architectural and electrical/plumbing teams.
• Participate in BIM reviews to identify clashes and support coordination.
• Incorporate markups and revisions into drawings and Revit models.
• Review equipment submittals and installation clearances to ensure accuracy.
• Support senior engineers with drawing reviews and quality checks.
• Maintain organized project files and documentation.
