Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Mechanical Systems Technician Team Lead on the Tennessee battery manufacturing campus. You will lead a shift, direct technicians, and ensure safe operation of HVAC and other MEP systems within the O&M scope.

You will coordinate with site stakeholders and contractors, review alarms via BAS/BMS, perform troubleshooting, and maintain regulatory safety standards while supporting emergency response and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lb., climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to work around operating industrial equipment with required PPE.
• Ability to work assigned shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead the assigned shift and direct mechanical and multi-craft technicians.
• Maintain HVAC and mechanical utility systems serving the plant.
• Use BAS/BMS to review alarms, trends, and setpoints; coordinate controls troubleshooting.
• Coordinate maintenance with operations and approved contractors to minimize interruptions.
• Create, review, and close CMMS work orders with clear problem statements and actions.
• Support emergency response and after-hours call-ins as required.
