Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is assisting a premier NY/NJ mechanical contractor in seeking an HVAC Mechanical Estimator with experience in HVAC pipe take-offs using Trimble MEP AutoBid or similar estimating software.

The role involves preparing detailed bid quotations and pricing for development of bid packages. Responsibilities include collecting data, consulting with clients and vendors, analyzing blueprints, reviewing contracts, and coordinating with the Engineering Department to produce

Qualifications

• HVAC estimating experience in construction industry.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with takeoffs and bid development.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and city regulations.

Responsibilities

• Collect historical cost data to estimate costs for current or future projects.
• Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss estimates and resolve issues.
• Prepare estimates used by management for planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
• Analyze blueprints and other documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Review contract and bid documents; understand scope for project turnover.
• Attend walk-throughs, pre-bid and scope clarification meetings.
• Quantitative take-off and computer entry.
• Prepare scope letters and proposals.
• Maintain relationships with customers, GCs, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Ability to perform design/build, conceptual and budget estimates.
• Coordinate with Engineering Department
• Ensure documents are centrally saved in the company's drive within the confidential estimating folder(s)
• Assist project managers with takeoffs and pricing changes in work.
• Comply with all Company operating policies, procedures, and safety programs.

The Most Prestigious Mechanical Contractor in NY/NJ Market is seeking an HVAC Mechanical Estimator with experience performing HVAC pipe take-offs using computerized estimating software like Trimble MEP AutoBid Mechanical or similar. The Estimator is responsible for estimating and providing management with detailed pricing for development of bid quotations and bid packages.

RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years HVAC Estimating experience in the construction industry, preferably the Mechanical side.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in engineering or construction related field desirable.
• Knowledge of the construction industry and contract documentation.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and city regulations and guidelines.
• Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, (i.e. Outlook, Word and Excel)
• Familiarity with Auto bid, and other electrical, technical, or construction programs.
• Familiarity with project management/document control software.
• Familiarity with construction/financial software packages.
