Job summary

ProSource Group in Nassau County is seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join our preconstruction team. The ideal candidate will prepare accurate estimates for HVAC, piping, plumbing, and related systems across commercial projects in the New York market.

You will perform takeoffs, review bid documents, source pricing from suppliers, and develop bid clarifications while collaborating with preconstruction and operations teams through bid submission and handover.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical estimating experience within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Good understanding of labor rates, material pricing, equipment, and project costs.
• Experience with estimating/takeoff software and Bluebeam is advantageous.
