Job summary

KBR is seeking a Technical Professional - HVAC / Mechanical Engineer in Delaware to contribute to HVAC engineering and project execution across industries. You will support design, specifications, calculations, and coordination within the Mechanical Engineering organization.

Ideally, you have a Mechanical Engineering degree, 3–7 years of EPC/industrial experience, and are willing to pursue Professional Engineer licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 3–7 years of engineering experience in EPC, industrial, chemical, biofuels, energy, manufacturing, or related industries.
• Ability and willingness to obtain Professional Engineer licensure within a reasonable timeframe.
• Working knowledge of multidisciplinary engineering design and coordination.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in team environments and collaborate across engineering disciplines.
• Willingness and ability to travel to client facilities as required.

Responsibilities

• Support development, review, and QA of HVAC engineering deliverables, specifications, calculations, and documentation.
• Assist projects with engineering execution activities including equipment lists, engineering databases, schedules, procurement support, and design coordination.
• Participate in all phases of project execution: conceptual design, detailed engineering, procurement, construction support, commissioning.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integration of mechanical systems and project objectives.
• Support equipment procurement activities including technical requisitions, vendor evaluations, bid reviews, and recommendations.
• Participate in field visits, site assessments, and engineering surveys as required.
• Contribute to special assignments and technical initiatives aligned with development goals.
• Participate in training programs, ERGs, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Support continuous improvement and maintain compliance with standards and procedures.
