Job summary

Delivered Talent Group is seeking a Senior/Lead Mechanical Engineer to drive HVAC design-build projects from concept to construction. You will lead engineering efforts, perform load calculations, select equipment, and develop layouts and BIM models in collaboration with construction teams.

The role requires a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, 3+ years in HVAC, and experience with design-build firms. PE preferred but not required; strong communication and mentorship are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of mechanical/HVAC engineering experience.
• Experience with design-build mechanical contractor, MEP engineering firm, or consulting engineering firm.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• PE license preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with both engineering and construction teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC design from concept through construction documentation and project completion.
• Perform HVAC load calculations, equipment selections, layouts, ductwork, and hydronic piping design.
• Develop and review mechanical drawings, specifications, calculations, and BIM models.
• Design systems in accordance with building codes, energy codes, engineering standards, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Construction, Preconstruction, Controls, Service, and other disciplines.
• Support field teams with technical problem solving, RFIs, and engineering solutions throughout construction.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and designers as needed.
