Job summary

BRPH is seeking a senior mechanical engineer in the Arlington area to lead HVAC design from concept through construction administration. You will supervise project teams, develop scopes and fees, and coordinate with other disciplines to ensure timely, quality delivery.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering with 8+ years of HVAC experience and a PE license or eligibility. Strong CAD/Bluebeam, Windows/Excel skills, and experience with Trane Trace are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college.
• 8+ years of experience as a mechanical engineer in HVAC design.
• Licensed Professional Engineer or eligibility to obtain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC design from concept through construction documents and admin services.
• Supervise project teams including junior engineers and designers.
• Prepare specs, schedules, budgets, and manhour projections.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to resolve design issues.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and maintain construction administration duties.
