Job Description
The Lead Mechanical Engineer is responsible for overseeing the discipline at a project level and managing the project discipline budget on simple to complex projects of all sizes. The Lead Engineer understands the development and field implementation of documents through all project phases. They coordinate with internal and external parties, manage multiple tasks, establish priorities, and direct the work of others. This role may work independently or under the direction of the Project Manager. The Lead Mechanical Engineer directs and manages workflows and the execution of design and engineering support staff (Entry-Level to Senior) to meet client expectations and project goals.
The Senior Mechanical Engineer has a thorough understanding of the development and field implementation of documents through all project phases, sizes, and levels of complexity. They coordinate with internal and external parties, manage multiple complex tasks, and lead the work of others. The Senior Mechanical Engineer acts as the mechanical point-of-contact for clients, other disciplines, and pre-construction services for their scope areas. They are capable of completing complex project code analysis, planning, and preparing bid/permit/construction deliverables (including details and specifications), and understanding the technical and design aspects of CRB’s market areas.
