Trane Technologies is seeking a Designer III to join a high-performing team of engineers and designers focused on mechanical design for HVAC products. You will create 3D models, production drawings, and documentation translating engineering requirements into manufacturable solutions.

The role emphasizes innovative concepts to boost efficiency, reliability, and cost effectiveness, with strong collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, labs and projects.

Qualifikationen

• Degree requirements as stated: assoc. degree with 5+ yrs design experience OR bachelor’s with 3+ yrs design experience.
• Proficiency with CAD tools (PTC Creo, SolidWorks, Inventor) required.
• Familiarity with GD&T, manufacturability, tolerance analysis, change management, and PLM/ERP/document control systems.

Aufgaben

• Develop detailed 3D models and engineering documentation for HVAC components and assemblies.
• Translate product requirements into manufacturable design solutions.
• Support product development from concept through prototype, testing, validation and production release.
• Contribute innovative design concepts to improve efficiency, reliability, serviceability and cost.
• Apply knowledge of mechanical design, materials, tolerances and manufacturing methods.
• Use drafting standards to create accurate engineering documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, lab and project teams.
• Develop and maintain bills of materials, drawing revisions and controlled docs.
• Lead smaller project tasks and resolve design issues.
