Job summary

EXP is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Milwaukee team, focusing on designing HVAC systems for gaming, hospitality, entertainment, healthcare, or commercial projects. You will perform hands-on CAD work, run heat load calculations, select equipment, and coordinate with MEP and other disciplines, contributing to project documentation and design packages.

The role requires 3+ years of HVAC design experience, a Bachelor’s in HVAC/Mechanical Engineering, and proficiency in AutoCAD and

Qualifications

3+ years designing HVAC systems for gaming, hospitality, entertainment, health care, or commercial projects, or internship experience in HVAC for construction projects.
A Bachelor’s degree in HVAC/Mechanical Engineering.
Proficiency with AutoCAD MEP and REVIT MEP.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
EIT Certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

Perform hands-on CAD using AutoCAD MEP and Revit platforms.
Perform heating and cooling load calculations with industry software (Trace, Energy Pro, DOE).
Select and schedule equipment with oversight by senior staff.
Layout air and water side systems on working drawings.
Coordinate with other disciplines (MEP, FP, arch, struct) for HVAC details.
Maintain the Engineering Calculation Book for projects.
