Job summary

K Komfort Heating & Cooling in Milwaukee area is seeking an HVAC Design Engineer to design and coordinate systems for commercial and multi-family projects. You will develop construction documents, perform load calculations, and ensure code compliance with internal teams and clients.

Based in Grafton, WI, the role requires 2–5 years of HVAC design experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, and strong communication skills. PE intent is a plus, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of HVAC design experience.
• Current PE certification or intent to obtain.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and codes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems including loads, equipment, ductwork, and piping layouts.
• Develop construction documents, drawings, and specs.
• Perform energy calculations and ensure code compliance.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and trades.
• Support design-build and plan-spec projects from concept to construction.
• Train junior staff and participate in project meetings.
• Review submittals and assist with RFIs.
