Job summary

DAWSON is seeking an HVAC Mechanic I to assist with the maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC systems across the FLETC Charleston facility. You will maintain safety, support senior technicians, and gain hands-on experience.

Requirements include 1-3 years of HVAC experience, certifications, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The role offers a competitive wage of $33.16 per hour and numerous employee benefits.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in HVAC service or maintenance.
• Proficient in diagnostics and programming of HVAC system controllers.
• Basic understanding of HVAC system components and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation and maintenance of HVAC systems.
• Perform routine filter changes and coil cleaning.
• Support diagnosis of mechanical and electrical HVAC issues.

Skills

HVAC service or maintenance

Diagnostics of HVAC systems

EPA 608 Type I or II Certification

Ability to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders

Education

Completion of trade school or vocational training in HVAC

Current universal ASHRA Refrigerant Certification
