Job summary

Daikin Applied seeks a full-time HVAC Service Technician I in Charleston, SC. You will service a range of commercial and industrial equipment, from rooftop units to boilers, with on-the-job and online training provided. You’ll log activities, assist in repairs, and communicate with customers about service status.

The role demands a HS diploma or GED, HVAC cert preferred, and 0–2 years’ experience. A valid driver's license and safety training are required, with benefits including health,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Associate’s degree or technical HVAC certificate preferred.
• 0–2 years of related work experience.
• EPA approved Universal Technician Certification preferred.
• OSHA 10 within 90 days of hire.
• Current first aid / CPR card preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist and perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters, belts and lubrication.
• Assist in repair and replacement of defective equipment or wiring related to various HVAC systems.
• Maintain and inspect equipment to prevent breakdowns or callbacks.
• Assist with warranty service inspection and testing to verify functionality.
• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, and other reports promptly.
• Explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Participate in training through regional technicians and Daikin Learning; maintain required certifications.
• Ensure a clean work area and follow safety policies and procedures.
