Job summary

EMCOR Government Services is seeking an HVAC Mechanic to trouble shoot, repair, install, and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems within the Central Utilities Plant and other contract buildings at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. The role requires mechanical, electrical, and plumbing aptitudes and supports medical facility operations under SCA terms.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in healthcare facilities or equivalent.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and mechanical drawings.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite for documentation and reporting.
HVAC certification programs or state licensure as applicable.
EPA 608 refrigerant handling certification is required.
Must possess a valid Driver's License and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems in facility operations.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on AHUs, fans, coils, belts, and related equipment.
Install and service HVAC/refrigeration equipment and troubleshoot to OEM specifications.
Coordinate inspections, repairs, and installations with staff to minimize disruption.
Complete work orders and PM documentation in CMMS.
Follow Lock Out Tag Out procedures and participate in safety meetings.
