Job summary

Amentum is seeking an HVAC Mechanic to support a government contract based at Kings Bay, Georgia. The role installs, services, and repairs environmental-control systems in commercial/industrial settings, using knowledge of refrigeration, piping, and electrical controls.

Candidates should have a valid driver’s license, HVAC/R experience, and the ability to read blueprints and operate digital control software.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• HVAC/R diploma program or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years verifiable commercial HVAC/R experience.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• CFC Universal Class A certification required.
• Strong computer skills for digital control software troubleshooting.
• Must know and use trade tools for maintenance and repair.
• Hard-toed safety boots meeting ASTM F2413-05.
• US citizenship required for facility credentials at Kings Bay.
• Be able to obtain security clearance and meet eligibility for access.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair environmental-control systems in various settings.
• Troubleshoot using digital control software and blueprints.
• Mount and connect HVAC equipment including compressors and fans.
• Fabricate and install ductwork and piping per specs.
• Test systems, check for leaks, and adjust controls.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain equipment in good condition.
