Job summary

SJS Executives is seeking an experienced HVAC Equipment Mechanic to support facilities operations at a Naval Base. The role requires disassembly, repair, and reassembly of HVAC equipment, knowledge of refrigeration cycles, and adherence to refrigerant handling regulations.

Qualifications include EPA Universal Certification and 4+ years of HVAC experience in light commercial or industrial settings. Valid driver's license, CPR, and OSHA 10 are required.

Qualifications

• EPA Universal Certification is required.
• 4+ years in HVAC Mechanic role on light commercial or heavy industrial settings.
• Valid State Driver's License.
• CPR certification and OSHA-10 required before starting work; training may be provided.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and operating manuals.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial/industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Carry certification card on duty; present upon request.
• Work on systems with mechanical, vapor compression, absorption, or air cycle methods.
• Ensure refrigerant handling complies with 40 CFR 82 and related regulations.
• Inspect and adjust systems for efficiency, reliability, and safety.
• Follow safety procedures; work on government property with servicemembers.
