Job description

HVAC Mechanic - Building Engineer (Maintenance)

Dae Sung, LLC is currently seeking a full-time HVAC Mechanic to support our contract at the Hastings Keith Federal Building in New Bedford, MA. The working schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

HVAC Mechanics will receive hourly pay increases based on their job classification, qualifications, and duties. The classifications are as follows:

1. H.V.A.C Level I - $39.59
2. Qualifications: One of the following certifications: NATE, HVAC Excellence, UA Star; EPA Universal CFC certification; GSA approval.
3. Duties: HVAC responsibilities, pursuing and obtaining a local/state journeyperson grade license.
4. H.V.A.C Level II - $43.55
5. Qualifications: Same as Level I.
6. Duties: Supervisor responsibilities, HVAC responsibilities, pursuing and obtaining a local/state journeyperson grade license.
7. H.V.A.C Level III - $46.53
8. Qualifications: HVAC local/state journeyperson grade license (for systems exceeding 10 tons); certifications as above.
9. Duties: HVAC responsibilities.
10. H.V.A.C Level IV - $49.52
11. Qualifications: Same as Level III.
12. Duties: Supervisor duties and HVAC responsibilities.

Building Engineers must have 5-8 years of experience in building maintenance and operations, with expertise in large commercial heating and air conditioning systems. The candidate should be competent in operations, preventive and corrective maintenance on BAS, boilers, chillers, hot water systems, plumbing, air handlers, VAV components, and other HVAC equipment. General maintenance knowledge of complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems is also required.

Minimum requirements include a High School Diploma or G.E.D, Universal EPA or CFC certification, and Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician License. Technical HVAC training is highly desirable. Candidates must obtain NATE certification within 6 months of employment.
