Day Shift: M-F rotating weekends and holidays
A Brief Overview
Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and/or repair to air conditioning and heating equipment throughout the assigned facility.
What You Will Do
- Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and/or repair to air conditioning and heating equipment throughout the facility.
- Installs, remodels, or upgrades temperature control systems including, but not limited to, pneumatic/electronic systems, air handling units, building automated management systems, and exhaust fans.
- Changes filters as needed.
- Analyzes the performance and operation of various mechanical systems and makes verbal or written recommendations for alternate operational methods or system enhancements in order to improve the efficiency of systems.
- Initiates work orders.
- Documents all work, closing work orders in the current software.
- Provides correct list of required parts and completes repair work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintains compliance with codes, regulations and hospital requirements.
- Shift work may vary based upon hospital demand and emergencies.

Education
- High School Equivalent / GED (Required)
- Associate's Degree (Preferred) or
- Vocational technical training (with focus on HVAC) (Preferred)
Work Experience
- 2+ years HVAC experience (Required) or
- 608U Certification (Strongly Preferred)
- Specific experience in a large hospital (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Notable client service, communication, and relationship building skills. (Required proficiency)
- Ability to function independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment. (Required proficiency)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. (Required proficiency)
- Demonstrated ability to use PCs, email, and general office equipment (i.e. printers, copy machine, FAX machine, etc.). (Required proficiency)
Licenses and Certifications
- 608U Certification (Preferred)
- Certification or diploma from an accredited HVAC R institute (Preferred)
- Stationary license and class 3 stationary certificate from a State Authority. (Preferred)
