Malace|HR is seeking an experienced HVAC Maintenance Mechanic in the Fayetteville area. The role will be working 1st shift hours and pays $33-34 per hour. The HVAC Maintenance Mechanic supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities. Assists in maintenance and repair efforts, as well as independently performing defined tasks. Performs inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintenance
- Perform ongoing preventive and repair work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other installed systems, equipment, and components.
- Maintain, operate, and repair HVAC systems, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing, interior and exterior building repairs, grounds, and production equipment as assigned.
- Conduct inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions affecting client occupancy and operations.
- Perform general interior maintenance such as hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, repairing office furniture, and doors.
- Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as needed.
- Replace lighting and ballasts.
- Clean HVAC coils, change filters and belts.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Safety
- Complete hazard assessments as necessary.
- Follow all safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping, and ensure safety of work areas. Recognize hazards and propose elimination methods.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant ordinances, codes, and laws.
- Complete all scheduled safety trainings.
- Practice defensive driving at all times.
- Follow policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
Driving
- Possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
Administrative
- Submit P-card receipts daily.
- Update work order status in real time.
- Utilize CMMS systems such as 360 Facility for all work performed.
- Perform vehicle safety inspections.
- Escalate problems or issues to customer and manager promptly.
- Attend work and safety meetings as required.
Other
- Perform any additional duties and tasks as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3rd party certification preferred.
Physical Work Requirements and Conditions
- Lifting up to 80 lbs.
- Working from heights.
- Frequent climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working overhead.
- Working in adverse conditions (extreme cold or hot).
